We are looking for good indoor-only homes for kittens in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area of North Carolina.

LCT Seek FFs (lap cats in training seek forever-families)

We found a small cat crying under a bush in our backyard. We determined that she was homeless and pregnant. The vet thought she was about a month along with a month left to go and could feel 3 kittens in her belly. Well, the vet was right about the first part. On Thursday June 17 she gave birth to 6 kittens. We plan to give the mama, who we now call Nutmeg, a home, but need to re-home her kittens.

We need to find good indoor-only homes for Nutmeg’s babies.

We are asking an adoption fee of $85 for each kitten, which is a competitive fee. This includes:

Nutmeg's Smorgasbord

  • Medical examination for general good health
  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • Microchip identification implant
  • Rabies immunization (if 4 months of age or older–if adopted out earlier, new parent will need to provide at 12 weeks)
  • Distemper/parvo immunization

We are interviewing new kitten parents now. Ideally, prospective parents will visit regularly until their kitten is weaned, so they can get to know the kittens’ personalities. Kittens should be ready to move into their new homes around mid-to-late-August 2010, after they have been properly weaned and spayed/neutered.

Despite stereotypes, cats are very social and would prefer to be adopted in pairs. Won’t you consider keeping some of the brothers and sisters together?

Each kitten is listed by nickname in the Kittens for adoption menu on the right and top of each page.

Get one of these kittens, actually two!
    It is the doctor’s order!

    Let me introduce myself.
I am Dr. Adriano Betton. I am the lucky one who has these kittens as patients. They are all healthy and friendly and just a lot of fun to be around.

I met Nutmeg , the queen ( who else), at the stage in which it is easier to roll than to walk.

I was in contact with Kerry for a little guidance and assurance when Nutmeg was delivering the kittens.

Nutmeg, on the other hand, went on to deliver six beautiful healthy kittens with no fuss.

When I saw them last, they were happily climbing all over Rett with that careless, smug expression that world conquerors have.

Get a pair of these kittens.

    Share their luck!
